The intent
One bag for a day that doesn't sit still.
Most people carry two or three bags through a single day. One for work, one for the gym, something else for the evening. We thought that was one too many.
NORJ is a single backpack that handles every context β the office in the morning, the gym at lunch, somewhere social by the evening. The shoe compartment keeps things separated. The roll-top expands when you need room. The tarpaulin shrugs off whatever the weather does.
One bag. Every context. Every day.
The craft
Tarpaulin is not a fashion choice.
It's the same material used to protect cargo on ships and cover loads in transit. It doesn't absorb water. It doesn't tear easily. It cleans with a damp cloth.
We chose it because it works β and because it holds its shape whether the bag is full or empty. The material does the job. The design stays out of the way.
